Fracking and Our Water: A Community Conversation on Thursday, June 16th, 7 – 9 PM

Fracking (hydraulic fracturing) is a process used to extract natural gas using enormous quantities of water mixed with chemicals. Opponents cite threats to human health and to healthy drinking water, as well as contributions to greenhouse gas emissions and increased risk of earthquakes.  Proponents talk about jobs and energy independence.

A consortium of local religious groups will present an evening of community education and respectful dialogue: a panel discussion and a dozen local organizations.

Plus: Music, Presentations, Refreshments and Free Childcare

KUMC Parish Hall is at 44 Edgemont Road, Katonah

Everyone is welcome, whatever your religious affiliation, including none at all.
